Enact Constitutional Carry Now

I, the signatory of this petition, do hereby affirm that:

• Whereas, recognizing citizen freedom, responsibility and rights guaranteed by the US Constitution and Bill of Rights and NC Constitution, the NC House and NC Senate have passed the Freedom to Carry Act (SB50)
• Whereas, the Supreme Court of the United States has three times ruled that the Second Amendment reinforces a fundamental, natural right of individuals to keep and bear arms
• Whereas, no other right enumerated in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights requires governmental permission merely to exercise a fundamental natural right
• Whereas, none of the states which have adopted permitless or constitutional carry have experienced the problems predicted by irrational naysayers
• Whereas, ignoring citizen freedom and rights guaranteed by the US Constitution and NC Constitution, Governor Stein has vetoed the Freedom to Carry Act (SB50)

I do hereby call upon Republican leaders in the North Carolina Senate and North Carolina House to stand together with patriotic and rational Democrats and Independents to promptly and decisively override the veto of SB50 and make North Carolina the next state to embrace the safety of Freedom to Carry – Constitutional Permitless Concealed Carry.
